Getting There

The MECC is easy to reach by train from all major European cities. The city of Maastricht is located where large European motorways meet, and the MECC is practically located on the motorway. It is also within one hour's drive of several airports. The full address is:

Via the airports

1. Brussels Airport www.brusselsairport.be 
Visitors are advised to fly into Brussels-Zaventem Airport, then take a train or free shuttle bus to Maastricht. Plan your train connection using www.nshispeed.nl (2 hours) or www.maastrichtbrusselexpress.nl (1.5 hours).

The organisers of the APEX show run a free shuttle bus service between Brussels Airport and the MECC in Maastricht from 13 to 16 September. Journey time is about 100 minutes. This means that the 8:30 shuttle on 13 September should reach Europlatform at around 10:00, which is in good time for the conference that starts at 11:00. There is also a 9:30 shuttle which would bring you to Maastricht just as the conference is starting.

2. Amsterdam Airport Schiphol www.schiphol.nl 
Train connection to Maastricht (2.5 hours). Plan your route using www.ns.nl

3. Maastricht Aachen Airport www.maa.nl
There are flights from Berlin (Germanwings) and Barcelona (Ryanair) to Maastricht. From Maastricht airport, the MECC is easily reached by car, taxi or bus (about 10 km or 15 minutes).

4. Düsseldorf Airport www.duesseldorf-international.de
Train connection to Maastricht (2 hours and 20 minutes via Heerlen, not Utrecht). Plan your route using www.nshispeed.nl or www.db.de 
 
5. Eindhoven Airport www.eindhovenairport.nl
Flights to and from London, Barcelona, Rome, Milan, Madrid, Prague, Budapest, Dublin, etc. Train connection to Maastricht (1 hour). Plan your route using www.ns.nl

6. Charleroi Airport www.charleroi-airport.com
Flights to and from Budapest, Prague, Rome, Glasgow, Dublin, Porto, Sofia, Warsaw, Naples, Marseille, Madrid, Gerona, etc. Train connection to Maastricht (1 hour and 50 minutes). Plan your route using www.sncb.be

7. Cologne-Bonn Airport www.airport-cgn.de
Flights to and from Amsterdam, Athens, Barcelona, Berlin, Dublin, Istanbul, Lisbon, London, Milan, Porto, Paris, Prague, Rome, etc. Train connection to Maastricht (1 hour and 20 minutes to Aachen, after that 1 hour and 10 minutes to Maastricht, total travel time: 2.5 hours).

8. Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport
Travel in comfort by Thalys from Paris to Brussels (1 hour and 20 minutes) or to Liege (3 hours).

By train

The MECC is a 5-minute walk from the train station Randwyck.

Brussels Airport: 1 hour and 15 minutes
Brussels Charleroi: 1 hour
Düsseldorf Airport: 1 hour and 15 minutes
Cologne Airport: 1 hour

Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport: 3 hours and 30 minutes
London Heathrow: 6 hours by train
London Waterloo: Take the Eurostar to Brussels (2 hours). In Brussels, transfer to Liege - Maastricht. Total travel time is approximately 4 hours.

Driving
 

Maastricht is located on the E25 junction on the A2 motorway (Amsterdam-Brussels) and the A79 motorway (Liege-Aachen/Cologne) with good links to other European motorways. The MECC is located directly on the E25/A2. If you are travelling south on the E25/A2 motorway take exit 55. If you are travelling north on the E25/A2 take exit 56. Take the Randwyck/MECC/AZM turnoff and follow signs for MECC or MECC Parking.
